Making bad decisions sucks.
I assume that you – like most people – think that making bad decisions is a bad thing and making good decisions is a much better thing. This should really be quite obvious.
So, if this is the case, then how can we resolve it; how do we make more good decisions and less bad ones?
Read on And You Will Learn How to Make Better Decisions in Your Life
In fact, it is quite simple.
When we are in a negative state of mind – when we are angry or sad or something unfortunate has just happened, for example – as a basic rule, we make bad decisions.
On the other hand, when you create yourself a positive state – like content or enthusiastic – you tend make better decisions. And when you make better decisions, you get better results!
So it’s not strange or miraculous, but in fact quite simple.
If this is the case, then, the next question that often arises is: how can we change our emotional state and even as easily and quickly as possible?
There are several techniques for this and I will introduce them in my different articles and videos and you can check them out, for example, by clicking the links on this blog post.
One very simple technique is to first change your own physiology.
When we are in a negative emotional state, there are often all kinds of tensions in our body and our posture is often a bit “hunched” (shoulders are slightly inward, the position of the spine is slightly bent, perhaps some tension in the stomach and chest muscles). By changing your body posture to a “positive” one, i.e. by straightening your back, pulling your shoulders back and directing your gaze upwards, you give a message to your brain and your entire neurology about the changed emotional state. This allows you to easier focus your thoughts on something positive.
If we stay in that body posture of a negative emotional state, it is significantly more difficult for us to direct our thoughts to positive things and thus change our emotional state.
So when you have changed your body posture, direct your thoughts to something positive, for example to a pleasant memory or something good that you have right here and now – any positive thing will do – you will notice that your emotional state will change to a positive one.
Stay in this positive emotional state for a while and let it settle in you. When you feel more positive, you can go back to making the decision at hand.
You will notice that when you change your emotional state and start making decisions more and more from better emotional states, over time it will change the direction of your whole life for the better.
If you continued to make bad decisions based on negative emotions, where would your life go? What if you start making more and more better decisions through better emotional states, where do you see your life going then?
Ultimately, it’s about becoming aware of what kind of decisions you make from negative emotional states and when you change your negative emotional state into a positive emotional state, what kind of decisions you make then.
So when you make more decisions when in positive emotional states from now on, you will change the quality of your life.
