I have already written in my previous blog posts on topics like goals and directions, vision, meaning, purpose and so on.
Although these are very important things as they guide our life, however, nothing really happens unless you take action. Actions and behaviors are those things that will take you toward your goals, your desired outcomes, toward your purpose and your meaning in life.
How the Mind Works
Goals guide our actions and behaviors. Most of those actions and behaviors, and also the goals behind those actions and behaviors, are unconscious. They are based on our beliefs, our learned patterns and other things that we have picked up along the way.
Furthermore, since our brain likes what is familiar, we tend to repeat the same behaviors and same actions, and, therefore, achieve the same results as we have achieved so far.
Be Clear with Your Desired Outcomes
So in order for you to achieve new outcomes, fulfill your mission or whatever you might want, you need to be clear, first of all, of what you want.
What direction do you want to be heading in your life? Once you have established the direction, then it’s time to take action.
And remember, like I said above, if you take the same actions as you have taken before, you will get the same results.
So I recommend that you every now and then stop for a moment and really think what kind of actions and behaviors will take you towards your desired outcomes?

Let Go and Take Action
When you really are clear with what you want and you have made sure that your desired outcomes are well-formed, then it’s really about your actions to get whatever you want.
The good news is that anything really is possible. Especially if you let go of the past and what you have previously thought is possible for you and what you are able to achieve and what kind of behaviors you have thought will bring you the results you want.
If you have new outcomes in your mind, they will require new kinds of behaviors and different kinds of actions.
Words of Wisdom
In my book, Words of Wisdom, chapter 17 is about actions and behaviors.
This chapter, by the way, has a lot of quotes from wise people regarding this topic, and I would like to share here a quote from Bill Harris that I have so often referred to and that has been one of my guiding principles for many years:
What Bill Harris is saying is that when you have decided what you want, there is a way to get it. It just requires certain way of thinking, certain way of acting and behaving, and you’ll get it.
Why you have not achieved the thing that you have wanted is because the actions and behaviors have not brought it for you, and they are always based on your thoughts.
So when you change the way you think, it changes the way you behave and act. Simple as that.
I hope you will now start thinking, acting and behaving in new ways, ways that will get you your desired outcomes in your life.
